What is Tutoring?

Learn “what is tutoring? How to offer Online Tutoring Services? Tutoring is private teaching for a particular group or individuals who seek knowledge under close supervision. It is supplementary support for a student or pupil from an expert teacher who helps them easily understand the topics. A tutor focuses on learning the students’ strengths and shining their talent. Students learn time management and understand and socialize with the topic.

Types of Tutoring Services

Tutoring is not bound to a specific method or environment of the class. It includes various varieties of delivering knowledge. Some of the types of tutoring are discussed below.

1. In-Class Tutoring

In-class tutoring becomes necessary when a teacher feels that some students are falling behind the class standard. In such cases, if teachers focus on weak students, the shining students will also lose their tempo for smooth studies. To improve the level of weak students, teachers have the best option of hiring a tutor for in-class one-on-one teaching. When teachers apply such methods, weak students start improving due to the close supervision of tutors.

2. Supplementary Tutoring

Students can seek help from hired tutors on a specific topic instead of searching through many books. Supplementary tutoring allows students to contact a tutor and arrange a class for one, two, or three times a week and clear the ambiguities in mind. There was a time when students had to search for many magazines and books for clarity, even irrelevant books. Now supplementary tutoring has resolved the issue, and pupils can ask students any time.

3. Exams Oriented Tutoring

Students may hire tutors for exams only to overcome their difficulties before sitting in the examination hall. In this type of tutoring, the tutor will teach the students to focus on specific topics and solve relevant questions. Many times, students fail to understand the examiner’s point of view, and they write for many pages yet fail to answer the actual question. Exam-specific tutoring will help students to learn the object of the questions and answer them relevantly.

4. Expert Level Tutoring

When students reach professional degrees, they must explore their knowledge to grasp a topic from all aspects. After intermediate, a college student or graduate will need such coaching and tutoring from an expert-level tutor who will guide the student to expand their mind at a broader level.

5. Online Tutoring

Online tutoring is on the rising trend globally as it has made reaching people easy compared to a physical one-on-one meeting. Students may seek guidance from a tutor online while sitting at their residence, which is the main benefit of online tutoring.

Online tutors have also prepared their portals with courses and prices through different platforms where students reach and select the concerned tutor.

How to Pick a Tutor?
